An attempt to finish the last post....

Maybe they were just doing some revamping with the inner workings of blogger the other day, but for the life of me it wouldn't save the other half.  Frustrating.  But, ok.  Here is the rest of The Melting Pot experience

So.. it's simple.  Take the raw meat and place on skewers.  Put in pot to cook.  Wait.  Remove from skewers. Eat.  Smile. Repeat. I do think the restaurant could use updating, in a sense, since I'm not sure how popular tableside service is anymore... But that's me being picky.  Or just being Betsy and sharing random thoughts.  So, there you go world!

Fondue. For Two, Please.

And we went to the Melting Pot.  I actually captured steam with a low(er than I prefer) quality camera!


This is how they start you off.. well, after the "Hi, have you been here before?  No!  Ok, let me tell you everything about us in 2  minutes.  Ready to order?"

I am assuming many have not listened to their warnings about how hot the heating element is.  They like to remind you often it's hot.  And then again.  AND maybe one more time....


So, here is what we had first (after the grand heating of the pot)

A Tex-Mex theme, if you will.  A queso they prepare tableside (some call that outdated, and I can see how it could be.. but, still fun) with lime juice and zest, tomatoes, jalapenos, and a few other items.  Provided are a plethora of "dippers."  Apple slices, bread, vegetables, and, of course, tortilla chips.  


And then, there was salad.  I forgot to take pictures of the salad.  Oh, Betsy!  But, I will move on to the next course....

And for now, I must stop with trying to post about this... the rest will come later.  I think I've saved this draft a million times, and parts keep deleting... GRRRR to blogger (but only today.)

I changed the font... and other news

Well, you can in fact change the font.  And that is exciting fun.  I always feel creative after doing so.  And on to other news.  Today!  Today we are going to the Melting Pot.  Am I a fan of chains?  No, but this one gets 4 stars on yelp, making me think it's worth a try... I'll let you know.  Have I mentioned that I maybe looooooove to yelp?  It's the simple things that make life a little more happy!

I really want to write about family today... certain items of interest I reallllllly want to share, but can't.  I can say, however, the size of a family doesn't matter.  I'm learning this.  A grand story will soon be coming titled "The A Tale of Two Sisters."  Momma would have loved this one.  Maybe love/hated it.  Hmm.

Other random ramblings... today is Saturday.  I think this is one of the best days of the week.  1.)  I can drink my coffee in pajamas.  2.)  I can choose what I would like to do 3.)  I always feel Saturday is filled with some kind of exciting mystery...one could call it enchanting!  You never know what a Saturday will bring.  Today I know it's bringing a wine tasting, and perhaps a new cupcake idea I've been considering.  I love both of those.  I think I love a lot of things.

Today.... a new day. An entirely new blog.

Can I begin by saying I wish there were more font options?  I hope so, because I just did... and I like neat fonts. I wish others were offered.  However, for the time being I can make it with "Arial."  And now on to food... and there's much more to come.
